A CAD Drawing Output generates a drawing file from a supported CAD platform. In your CAD Drawing file, you can create the following:
CAD Drawing Annotation
A CAD Drawing Annotation output field allows a configurator to manipulate a pre-existing annotation in a CAD drawing.
Drawing Dimension
A Drawing Dimension output field allows a configurator to manipulate a pre-existing dimension in a CAD drawing. For dimensions in CAD models, please see dimensions.
Drawing Sheet
A Drawing Sheet output field allows a configurator to manipulate a pre-existing sheet in a CAD drawing.
Drawing View
A Drawing View output field allows a configurator to manipulate a pre-existing view on a CAD drawing sheet.
Dynamic Drawing Annotation
A Dynamic Drawing Annotation output field allows a configurator to create a drawing annotation during the build process.
Dynamic Drawing Dimension
A Dynamic Drawing Dimension output field allows a configurator to create a dimension during the build process.
Simplify output file names.
If no target filename is included, the name of the CAD drawing output itself is used as the filename, and therefore it cannot have any spaces or special characters.
Depending on the CAD platform you use, some features may not be available.
