CAD Drawing View

A Drawing View output field allows a configurator to manipulate a pre-existing view on a CAD drawing sheet.

Properties

Depending on the CAD platform you use, some properties of this feature or the feature itself may not be available.

Property Datatype Description
Name text The name of the output field. Used for referring to this output field in snap rules.
External ID text

A unique name that identifies the entity in the file that the output field maps to.
See External ID topic for more info.

Auto Postion Annotations boolean If set to true, Epicor CPQ will move pre-defined drawing annotations to account for the view sale changing.
Use Custom Scale boolean Controls whether or not the view scale is set by the user. If true, the view scale will be set to the value of the Scale Numerator / Scale Denominator.
Scale Numerator number The numerator of the user-defined view scale value.
Scale Denominator number The denominator of the user-defined view scale value.
Auto Size boolean

If true, the view will be automatically re-scaled to match the size of the view's viewbox on the template file. Use for parent views only.

In some CAD platforms:

  • The view must have its Use Custom Scale property set to true in the CAD software 'view scale properties' window.
  • Autosize may not take into account cropped views: even if a view is cropped, autosize still uses the full size of the original, uncropped view.
Auto Dimension boolean

If true, model dimensions will be imported to the view.

In some CAD platforms:

  • Only model dimensions with their 'Marked For Drawing' property set to true will be imported.
Auto Position boolean If true, the view will be moved to account for re-scaling of the view. Autoposition does not take into account cropped views in SolidWorks: even if a view is cropped, autosize still uses the full size of the original, uncropped view.
X number

if 'Auto Position' is set to false, then controls the X position of the view in drawing units.

In some CAD platforms:

  • This is the horizontal distance from the lower left corner of the drawing to the view's original origin position.  This position is the center of the view when it was created in the CAD software.  If the size of this view changes, this position does not.
Y number

if 'Auto Position' is set to false, then controls the Y position of the view in drawing units.

In some CAD platforms:

  • This is the vertical distance from the lower left corner of the drawing to the view's original origin position.  This position is the center of the view when it was created in the CAD software.  If the size of this view changes, this position does not.
Auto Balloon boolean If true, balloons will be added to the view.
Ignore Multiple Balloons boolean If true, only one balloon per component will be added to the view.
Suppressed boolean If true, the view will be hidden.
Deleted boolean If true, the view will be deleted from the sheet.
Parent BOM Title text

Sets the name of the BOM table on the drawing

BOM Renumber boolean If true, the BOM will be reordered.
Allow Multiple Balloons First level Only boolean If true, only balloons for the top level of an assembly will be added to the view.
