Configuring CPQ for Dealer Portal

Epicor CPQ is now integrated to work with Epicor Commerce dealer portals. Epicor CPQ now sends a MSRP to Epicor Commerce which is used to calculate the dealer margin.

When dealer buys a configurator product, a CIM message is triggered to be sent to Kinetic. When the configurations are saved and the prices set, Epicor Commerce sends a CDM message to Kinetic, enlisting the dealer price and the end-customer price. The difference shows up as dealer margin percentage in the front-end.

  1. You just have to add the Epicor CPQ configurator product in your quote. This will send a MSQ message to Kinetic. To add a Epicor CPQ item, refer to this document.
  2. Select Configure to configure the product according to your needs. This sends a CIM message with details like the QuoteId and the productID to Kinetic.
  3. Select Save to save the configuration details for the product in Epicor Commerce. This triggers a CDM message to Kinetic, with the configuration details.

You can see in the CDM response, that there are two price related information tags: one under currency as customerPrice, the other in dealer as price. The <customerPrice> tag in <currency> has the price that the dealer has to pay to the manufacturer, and the <price> tag in <dealer> contains the price that the end-customer pays to the dealer.

When the dealers log in, they can see their cost and the Margin % in the Price column, and the selling price in the Customer Price column.

They can give a discount to the customer using the Discount field in the Customer Price column. These details are fed to Kinetic using the CRQU message.
