The Self-Registered Role

The Self-Registered role is automatically assigned to users who have registered themselves with the site.

Permissions on the self-registered role are limited to those pertaining to comments and other non-administrative functionality. This role cannot be modified or deleted, but it is disabled if your Epicor CPQ settings do not allow users to register themselves.

Usually, the self-registered role is used as a flagto help you find users in your org who have created themselves, and need their user records reviewed by an administrator. For example, after an administrator reviews and edits a self-registered user record to ensure it complies with any company standards, and manually assigns it any other roles, then that administrator would probably remove this "Self-Registered" role from that user.

Activating the Self-Registered Role

In the admin menu, visit Admin > Settings > Settings and scroll to the Authentication section. Activate "Allow User Registration." If you do not see this checkbox, your Epicor CPQ license may not allow this feature. Contact your Key Account Manager.
