CAD Builder Settings
Builder settings are global settings for all local output builders you install. For ease of maintenance, each computer hosting an output builder should have the same general file structure to store result files and templates.
Setting | Description |
---|---|
Path to results | The default folder that builds performed on the output builder will be placed in. Note that outputs can override this setting through their Target Directory property. |
Template Library Location | The folder location that Epicor CPQ will synchronize with the template library in the cloud. |
Run CAD in background | It is possible to do CAD builds without showing the CAD program on the builder machine. This can speed up builds. But can also cause stability problems in the CAD system itself when performing certain types of operations. If you are having any issues with your CAD builds, it is recommended to turn this setting to false. |
Restart CAD after number of builds | We wish CAD systems were perfect... but alas, they are not. After several builds, some CAD systems can start getting sluggish due to memory leaks or other problems. Epicor CPQ combats this by restarting the CAD system after it has done a certain number of builds. This setting controls how many builds to process before it restarts. |
Delete files after build | As some built files are sent back to the cloud for storage (see Post to Cloud option in Output properties), you might not actually want to persist any built files on the output builder machine. If this is the case, you can set this to true. |
