Managing Scenes
3D Scenes represent a configured product in real-time, in a lifelike three-dimensional space, to help your user understand and make decisions about their configuration.
The 3D scene you build can appear to your users in different ways:
Shows while they configure a product.
The scene can appear in the product’s viewer, showing that configurator’s design. This is the most common use.Shows after they configure a product and submit it.
The scene can be rendered into a snapshot for use in an output document, like a quote, or an image to share on social media. Learn more about scene render outputs.Shows independently, connected to no configurator.
The scene can appear on its own. This is useful for learning about how a scene works, or experimenting with materials and meshes. Learn more about independent scenes.
To see and manage all scenes in your environment, click 3D Scenes in the Administrative Interface. A list of scenes will appear.

Create a scene by clicking the ADD button at the bottom of the list.
Edit a scene by clicking its name.
Run a scene in test mode by clicking the run triangle shown next to the name.
If the scene is standalone, this will launch the scene.
If the scene is related to a configurator, this will launch that configurator. The configurator’s viewer properties can show a scene as defined in the Configurator Properties.
Find an existing scene in the list.
Sort by any column by clicking any column header. Click the column header again to reverse the sort. For example, click MODIFIED ON to see existing scenes listed in the order they were created.

by typing the first few characters of the scene name into the search box: any matching scenes will appear in a drop-down list. For example, type "cl" to see the Club Car scene and the Clock scene listed.Find a scene name that includes text anywhere in the name
